Korea Bonsai Museum is located at Woomyunsan of Seongchon-gu 91, Seochon-gu, Seocho-gu, Seoul. Korea Bonsai Museum is the only bonsai museum in Korea that was opened in 1988, with a collection of rare bonsai, photographs and reference materials on a scale of 2,000 pyeong.
Take the town bus No.09 from Gangnam station and get off at the Children’s Hospital of Seoul Metropolitan Government Gangdong-Songpa Station. If you go up for 2 minutes, there is the sign of Korea Bonsai Museum.

The bonsai exhibition is held regularly in October every year. Opening hours are from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and The bonsai exhibition are open 24/7.
The bonsai are to plant trees beautifully living in various shapes of pots and stones. It was originally located in Woo-myeon-dong, but it has been moved to Gok-gong due to apartment construction. At first, it was divided into Bonsai History Library, Bonsai Dormitory, Bonsai Special Exhibition Hall, Bonsai Listening Room, etc. Since December 2000, it has been reduced to a form in which display, appreciation and lecture.
When you come in, you will find beautiful bonsai.
There are about 12,000 bonsai of 80 species, collected and cultivated by the Korea Bonsai Research Institute for more than 20 years.
You can see Japanese white pine trees, pine trees, timber trees, juniper trees, azaleas, plum trees, camellia trees. You can also see other species such as quince tree, apple tree, pomegranate, lily of the pine, and piranha squash, as well as other species. Among them, maple tree is 300 years old and juniper tree is more than 500 years old. Maple tree and Juniper tree’s artistic value is high.
It takes a long time to look around. Because this place is very wide and there are many branches of trees.
The bonsai program is also in operation for the public.
